NEW WAVE LOW INTERVENTION WINES FROM GREECE & BULGARIA

£25.00

Wednesday 9th of July, 7 PM 8:30 PM

Europe is known for its interesting and plentiful wine countries. Two such countries go by the names of Greece and Bulgaria, both with rich and ancient history and located in the South Eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula including parts of the historical regions of Mizia, Thrace and Macedonia. Thought to be the most successful producers of wine in that part of Europe, having preserved the traditions inherited in viticulture since the time of the Thracians - the so called sommeliers of the Roman Empire. Join us, Efthimis Apostolidi head winemaker of the biodynamic winery Krima Apostolidi and our good friend Dilyan from The Jolly Merchants on a journey through Greece and Bulgaria and their new wave low intervention wines. Arguably one of the last undiscovered corners of the wine world - we look forward to having the opportunity to share their stories and surprise you!

The wines….

Fizz:

Pét-Nat Funky Mavrud 2023, Georgiev/Milkov, Thracian Valley, Bulgaria

White:

Malagouzia Palaiochori Single Vineyard 2024, Ktima Apostolidi, Macedonia, Greece

Assyrtiko Agia Triada Single Vineyard 2023, Ktima Apostolidi, Macedonia, Greece
